What is your role with The Seltzer Group:
I am a Personal Lines Sales Support Specialist who receives information for future and current clients from our Commercial Lines Department to gather additional information, quote with our extensive number of insurance companies and review over proposals with the clients. I can provide Personal Auto, Homeowners/Property, Personal Umbrella, Boats, Recreational Vehicles, and Life Insurance Proposals. In addition, I will proactively offer additional insurances to any account I am quoting that will be beneficial to the client.
What types of industries/risks are you particularly interested in or have special expertise in working with:
I have had many different job functions over my career in the Insurance Industry and have always navigated to helping clients with their Personal Insurance Needs. I can provide Personal Auto, Homeowners/Property, Personal Umbrella, Boats, Recreational Vehicles, and Life Insurance Proposals. In addition, I will proactively offer additional insurances to any account I am quoting that will be beneficial to the client. I most definitely ask about Life Insurances, as with the changing world, have found out many clients think they automatically have Mortgage Insurance built into their Mortgages, that is False. Our parents may have had this but it is not offered these days to New Home Buyers.
Why do you like working with those types of industries/ what kind of background do you have that gives you that expertise:
I have been an Insurance Agent since 1979 having acquired much knowledge, experience, and attending Continuing Education Classes to keep updated with the changes in the Insurance Industry and world around us. I started out working for an Insurance Company in Philadelphia in 1974, moved to Schuylkill County in 1979, became an agent working at Hauptly Insurance Agency for 18 years, which is now a part of the Seltzer Insurance Group, was an Erie Insurance Agent for 5 years, and have now been with Seltzer Insurance Group for almost 19 years. What a nice road to travel! I feel I can help educate our clients on their current coverages and keep them updated on new coverages now available; Seltzer Insurance Group has so many different companies we can offer to our clients it is crazy. Always remembering what you need today is probably not the same as you needed 10 years ago.
What are your goals for your clients/ your relationship with them:
I would like the opportunity to educate clients that they feel they are participating in purchasing the right coverages for their current and future needs and protection. Insurance is all about risk (occurrence/accidents) but you want to be certain you are protecting your assets that you have worked so very hard to accumulate over the years; keeping in mind what you can afford. The most important education has been attained by providing clients solutions for their insurance needs and the reward of protecting them. Always remembering what you need today is probably not the same as you needed 10 years ago.
I like to help people in general. Having the Insurance Knowledge I have acquired is a major plus!
