Community Comes First

Going the extra mile for the community we live and work in.

Seltzer Group Charities Foundation

Seltzer Group Charities Foundation focuses on supporting groups serving children from low-income families and individuals with special needs of all ages in our own local communities. These individuals and families often do not have access to the same types of opportunities many of us take for granted. Most have additional financial worries and responsibilities which limit discretionary spending. Housing, food, medical needs, and other necessities take priority over social activities or a fun new toy. Our charity gives organizations the means to provide the types of experiences which should be part of every individual’s life.

Our agency is committed to providing resources to underserved populations in our local communities. Our nonprofit enables local community organizations to reduce their reliance on organization-run fundraising and focus on the important work they do.

All children and all individuals with special needs are deserving of the same experiences and opportunities as their classmates and neighbors. We are proud to lend a hand to provide access to those experiences and opportunities.

Special Olympics – Schuylkill County

We hold an annual golf outing that benefits the local chapter of the Special Olympics. Every year we are honored to host the event and spend the day with athletes from the Schuylkill County Special Olympics to raise awareness for this great cause. Over the past 22 years, we have raised over $100,000 for this initiative.

North Schuylkill Spartan Games

Our team looks forward to the annual North Schuylkill Spartan Games. This day is designed to promote athletics and competition to students with disabilities. We support the initiative both financially through our foundation, and physically with manpower by sending members of our staff to volunteer.

Programs for Local Children

Our participation includes adopting a classroom and providing coats for children through Community Services for Children and The Little Drummer Boy Project through Child Development Services. We also provide Christmas gifts for kids in need.

Hillside SPCA in Pottsville

We have been long time supporters of the Hillside SPCA in Pottsville. Our late friend, Bob Seltzer, was an animal lover, so we continue this initiative in his memory.
